HTC reached back more than two years to add to the list of its handsets
that can now have the bootloader unlocked. For example, one of the
devices on the list is the HTC DROID ERIS.
How many of you remember that handset, which was launched via Verizon
at the same time as the Motorola DROID? Other phones that you can now
unlock the bootloader on include another old-timer, the HTC Hero. The
list also has the HTC Legend, the T-Mobile myTouch 3G and the T-Mobile
myTouch 4G. It should be pointed out that the variant of the Hero
included is the GSM model and to unlock that model's bootloader,you
might be required to flash a new RUU.
Unlocking the bootloader makes it easier for you to customize the software
on your device, but at the same time it voids the warranty on the
phone. if you are going to unlock the bootloader on your unit, make sure
